HEALTH & WELLNESS
At Crossroads we appreciate that good health and well-being are beyond physiological, it is also mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. Being satisfied with one’s life, having a sense of meaning and purpose goes a long way in dealing with stress and is pivotal to one’s overall wellness.
For many of our youth who are street homeless, transitioning out of foster care, and unaccompanied pregnant and parenting youth they face significant medical and mental health care needs. Unfortunately, these youth rarely receive the services or help they need.
Our approach to health and wellness for our homeless youth is premised on the foundation of partnerships with local agencies and health professionals.
We work closely with public and private healthcare organizations to assist our youth in receiving primary, receive housing related services, and obtain the medical support and services to address healthcare needs.
