MISSION AND VISION
We are a voice for community wellness, serving underserved communities & marginalized individuals. We strive to meet the needs of youth aging out of foster care families, and neighbors struggling with food insecurity.
WHO WE ARE
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
We are community-based, built on a Gospel Foundation, a turning point for youth, with the continuing purpose of confronting hunger and promoting community wellness.
To provide resources & services that support the transition of youth & those aging out of foster from homelessness to self-sufficiency and stable independent living. To provide sustainable community-based programs that enrich, empower, and improve lives.
OUR MISSION
Our approach to promoting community wellness begins & ends with community partnerships. Working with local partners Crossroads, has confronted food insecurity on several levels providing: community food & clothing distributions, food recovery and redistribution to other food pantries and distribution organizations, contactless delivery via our ePantry to seniors & homebound, and providing weekend meals for school children.
Our Moving Beyond Hunger Project partners with local agencies, grassroots organizations and others to provide an array of comprehensive youth services to support our youth transition from homelessness to sustainable self-sufficiency addressing the following needs: Homelessness, Substance Abuse, Physical/Mental Health, Youth Pregnancy & Childbearing, and Education and Vocational training.
We believe today’s youth are our future, the seeds for community wellness. We also believe community partnerships are a bridge to community wellness.
HOW WE DO IT
OUR VALUES: FOOD, RESOURCES, & FAITH BUILD A STRONGER COMMUNITY
All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them. When we help our youth understand that regardless of who they are or what they are going through...There Is Hope...that they have value. Then Faith becomes the soil of personal enrichment, a tool of empowerment.
FAITH TO ENRICH
This recent global pandemic has shown us how much we need others and the benefit of a strong community. We developed new resources to connect to each other & gain greater control over our life & environment. Developing needed resources is enrichment that improves lives.
RESOURCES TO EMPOWER
Hunger does not discriminate. Our approach to food insecurity is to support community efforts for a sustainable access to healthy food alternatives. Food is a basic need to people of all walks of life. Food, Resources, & Faith are turning points to building a stronger community.
